What is The Mill Hill Boot Camp anyway?
Our Fat Loss Express Fitness Boot Camp is a monthly program consisting of two to three outdoor weight loss and fitness workouts with top notch fitness instruction. There are two bootcamp versions:

The Women's Camp has been designed exclusively for WOMEN. We have found that women wish to target areas different to men. Whereas men like to work on building muscle especially the upper torso, women often wish to target their hips and thighs, stomach and waistline, whilst toning their body throughout. This boot camp is designed to target workouts from a woman's perspective.

The Mixed Camp is a hard core split level training programme for men and women who like a challenge. Simulating real Army training (remember, JJ is the real deal - an Army PTI and Special Forces Trainer who led soldiers fitness of all levels for almost a decade) - she will get you in great shape fast. Whether you are a seasoned exerciser or unfit beginner you will find our workouts effective.


What if I'm not very physically fit?
You don't have to be. You will be assigned to one of three 'Troops' based on your current level. You will be monitored and no one will be asked to complete more than they are capable of doing safely. If you have five or fifty pounds to lose, you’ll find that Mill Hill Boot Camp is just the programme for you! For Men and Women of all ages, abilities and fitness levels - don't be shy, you can attend Boot Camp and achieve incredible results.


Where’s the location of the boot camp?
Our Boot Camp meets conveniently at the Mill Hill Sports Club (from Mill Hill Broadway, head towards Barnet College and as you enter Grahame Park Way - Mill Hill Sports Club is on your right. There is plenty of parking spaces. We exercise in the fresh outdoors. Changing and shower facilities are also available.


How often will we meet?
Twice a week has been shown to be sufficient using this type of training. You can come to as many sessions as you wish during membership. Here is a list of sessions available to you:

MONDAY & THURSDAY - WOMENS CAMP 7am
MONDAY & THURSDAY - MIXED CAMP 5:30pm


What if I can’t attend 2 sessions a week?
I know you’ll agree that some exercise is better than no exercise. So if you can’t make it just two days a week, at least do your best to attend once a week. We have seen participants achieve significant results while attending one day a week and completing the rest of our programme using our members online workouts, in their own time.


What time are the camps?
There are 2 sessions in the week on Monday and Thursday - they start at 7 AM and 5:30 PM sharp.

Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to book in. You can attend any of these sessions and change which one as needed.


What if I’m too busy and don’t have time to come?
Professionally speaking…after working with over 10,000 clients over the years we have found that not enough time is just an excuse. The truth of the matter is that you can make time if you really want to change the way you look and feel. Ask yourself this: Am I finally ready to be the way I want to be? However, if you are going to miss several sessions in a row - no problem, speak to your instructor to freeze your membership.


Ok, you make sense … what do I need to bring?
Nothing. We will provide all the equipment, motivation, and accountability you’ll need. Just bring a water bottle and a sense of adventure! Oh, and try NOT to come on an empty stomach. We don’t want you to get light headed during our fun and energizing workouts! Eat a piece of fruit (i.e. banana) on your way to stablise blood sugar.

What should I wear?
Don't wear that expensive tracksuit you bought from Harrods :). Wear warm comfortable clothing this time of year, try to wear layers so you can add or reduce your clothing as necessary. You should bring a waterproof where necessary. We use a groundsheet in muddy weather for 'floor' exercises but hey sometimes you might get a little dirty, and this adds to the fun of the workouts.


What can I expect to achieve?
If you hit the ground running and follow the program exactly as given, you can expect to drop inches and pounds while becoming more fit and toned. On average you’ll drop 3-6 pounds, plus drop 1-2 dress/trouser sizes, and 2-5% body fat in as little as 30 days. The women's program includes exercises designed to firm your buttocks and thighs, flatten your stomach, reduce body fat and bloating and increase confidence. Who is my Boot Camp Instructor?

What kind of assessment will you do?
Assessments are optional. Within your first week we can take a few simple measurements to see your starting point. The evaluation also includes a quick, easy, and noninvasive body fat test. These numbers and all other information will be held in the strictest confidence.

What is a typical session like?
It's always an adventure amongst friends, with your expert professional boot camp instructor JJ. You will be put into one of three troops depending on your fitness level. You will then be guided to work to your level of fitness doing walking, tabbing or jogging with special resistance bands and body exercises to lose fat, speed up metabolism and target those key areas. After each session JJ will discuss details of what to do between sessions and answer any of your questions.

How soon will I see results?
Performance improvement can take place in as little as a couple of days. "Visual Improvement" can take from four to eight weeks depending on your effort level. It is common to see participants go down 1-2 dresses/trouser sizes in a month.

How hard will I be expected to work?
If you are not used to exercising, at first you might find it a little challenging but your trainer will be there to both monitor and advise you. Your trainer is very experienced at working with all levels and you will never be asked to do something you are not capable of doing.
