Attaching Your Resistance Band to a fixed object
How To Use A Simple Loop To Attach Your Band To A Bench Arm, Tree, Fence etc..
The reason I do not recommend simply wrapping the band directly on to an object is because the band will quickly get damaged, especially if it is allowed to slide up and down.
The following discusses how we used to attach all our bands using a firm strap such as webbing, whilst making sure it is suitable to use to hold the band without it sliding. The strap needs to be not too thin or it will cut into the band after several uses. This is how we did it and NEVER broke a band despite many hours of use.
While I am on this topic, I should also mention to examine your equipment ie band and strap for any small tears or splitting BEFORE each use.
So you will also need to get or make yourself a looped strap. You can buy one which uses webbing such as a cheap suitcase strap as it will NOT BEND OR STRETCH.
Or you can find something strong and tie the end to make a loop using a non slip knot.
In the video below I will be showing you how to attach the loop on a object such as the arm of an outdoor bench (what we used for our outdoor bootcamps) or a pole, tree, fence etc. It must not be able to be moved as you will be working off the end of the base.
This is how you use the loop to easily and quickly attach and remove the band. Watch and practice this easy method I use to attach anything to a suitable solid object.
